New Protector User Group Format

Widespread travel restrictions and COVID19 concerns prevent us from gathering in person for the 22nd Protector User Group Meeting (PUGM) as originally planned. But nothing can dampen our enthusiasm for this annual tradition or change the fact that YOU are still the focus of all we do! This year, we are pleased to host an interactive series of educational webinars October 13 - 14. You may also choose to attend the introductory 'Protector 101' webinar on September 23 to get better acquainted with the system interface and features before PUGM. For maximum flexibility, each session is a distinct webinar with a unique login Get complete details and signup links here.

Using Reference Data in TeleLink

In terms of TeleLink, reference data is any information other than the main feed (usage/switch records) input to the system. TeleLink merges reference data with your original usage records to provide increased detail on output files/reports and to make data mining much more efficient.
Using reference data in TeleLink has many time-saving, money-saving, and revenue-making benefits! Reference data can come into the system from virtually any source, including...read on

Catching Up

Lisa-Maria, pictured here with her son Cemali, jumped right into the Protector community in 2013. Having met with system users the year before as part of an FMS search, she already knew several folks at her very first PUGM. She is also part of a select group of PUGM attendees who experienced the event at the Equinox office as well as the Music City Center venue.
We love our customers, and everything we do focuses on them. In fact, we like to spotlight the fantastic folks with whom we work. Case in point, this article is all about Lisa-Maria Schalkwijk. In 2012, Lisa-Maria headed a search for a new fraud management system (FMS) at her company. During the evaluation, she not only interviewed Equinox, but she also visited other Protector customers to see the system in action.

Lisa-Maria officially joined the Protector community in 2013 when Equinox deployed the FMS. That same year, she attended her first Protector User Group Meeting (PUGM) and later returned to the annual fraud conference in 2015. She describes the PUGM as “very informative. My favorite part is interacting with the other users. It’s especially helpful to get input from those who use the system daily and hear how they set up CDR Rules, for example. Of course, Christi’s training sessions are fantastic. And, the event is fun!” Hurricane damage and COVID-inspired travel stops have kept Lisa-Maria from the last few PUGMs, but she looks forward to the online sessions in 2020.

Currently serving as Manager Accounts Payable & Revenue Assurance, Lisa-Maria began her telecom career in 2002 as an intern at the same company where she currently works. Lisa-Maria relies on that wealth of telecom experience daily as she is responsible for all outgoing payments, revenue assurance, and fraud management at her company. According to Lisa-Maria, Protector’s email alerts offer the greatest benefit for her. She relies on them as her safeguard and says, “Protector’s alerts keep me informed at all times, provide guidelines for when to take action, and they dictate how I respond to incidents.”

In addition to directing the fraud team, Lisa-Maria is the primary Protector contact with Equinox. She interacts mainly with Ernest and Christi when she needs product assistance. She explains that “I absolutely love the support I get from Equinox! The team is always on top of things. The response time for email is very fast, two hours or less, even with the time difference. And the information in the email is helpful—I’m never left wondering what to do, because the response is very clear.”

Born in the Netherlands, Lisa-Maria lived in Suriname and Dutch Antilles islands before landing in Philipsburg (the Dutch side of Sint Maarten). Outside of work, Lisa-Maria is an active participant in cross fit workouts at least 4 times a week and keeps busy with her 10-year-old son, who is an avid soccer player and TikTok enthusiast. She also enjoys the benefits of living on a beautiful, sunny island and often hikes, reads, sails, and relaxes on the beach.

Equinox appreciates the opportunity to get acquainted with Lisa-Maria during her search for an FMS, through her interactions with Support, and attendance at PUGM.
Lisa-Maria is a valued member of our Protector community!
