Taking Luck Out of the Equation
Taking Luck Out of the Equation
The Sky Is Not the Limit - Emani's Story [VIDEO]
Every year, Tipping Point Community supports more than 125,000 students by investing in quality schools and college success programs throughout the Bay Area. Each student’s story is unique, but too often, they have one thing in common–their opportunities have relied, in some part, on luck. At Tipping Point we believe attending a great school and getting to and through college shouldn’t depend on a zip code or income bracket, so we're working to take luck out of the equation. Emani’ Lewis, a graduate of KIPP Bridge (a Tipping Point-funded school in Oakland), reminds us of the power of education within the complexities of poverty. While her trajectory is remarkable, Emani’ refuses to be satisfied with her own success and is bringing opportunity to more people in her hometown and beyond. Watch her story here
