Two Spring 2020 Courses to Consider
IDS 154, Introduction to Study Abroad is designed for students who have committed to or are considering studying abroad. As an international student, your ability to effectively engage with people from other cultures will be useful whether or not you choose to leave the Oxford campus to further your studies.
IDS 253, Voices of Discovery – Intergroup Dialogue introduces you to the practice of sustained, facilitated discussions with your peers around identity topics such as international/domestic, religion, gender, ability and race/ethnicity. Strong communication skills, especially among diverse groups, is something employers are looking for in candidates for jobs and internships. The course also counts toward the Intercultural Perspectives requirement for the Global Miami Plan.
