April 2 - LRAPA Tells What You Need to Know About Air Quality
Speaker - Matt Sorenson, Public Affairs &Project Manager
Matt Sorensen is the Public Affairs Manager for the Lane Regional Air Protection Agency, or often referred to as LRAPA. Matt's role is to educate and engage the community about something you literally can't go 40 seconds without, but somehow still gets overlooked. Clean air! Before joining LRAPA, Matt spent 18 years leading Boys & Girls Clubs organizations in Idaho and Oregon, proof that public service comes in many forms.

A University of Idaho grad (Go Vandals!), Matt is also an active Springfield Rotarian and spends most of his free time with his family and three dogs.
Today's presentation is an Air Quality 101, covering the basics of air quality and LRAPA's role in Lane County and then moves to a deeper dive into the specific causes of air pollution in our air shed and what you can do about it.

The Rotary Sky Ball Classic is a family-friendly community fundraiser hosted by Eugene Southtowne Rotary. The signature moment features golf balls released over the target zone, with prizes awarded for closest -to-the-pin and other bonus categories. You don’t need to be a golfer to participate – it’s fun! An event for everyone! Where do donations go?
Just like the Duck Race of Old- We are asking every Southtowne Rotarian to Sell (or buy) at least 10 balls! Purchase online, or make checks payable to Eugene Southtowne Rotary.
