Rare diseases point to metabolism and immunity connection
Jeffrey Rathmell (Molecular Physiology and Biophysics) and Andrew Patterson (Rathmell lab) discovered a new set of metabolic genes important for immune cell function. The study examined genes that cause inborn errors of metabolism and inborn errors of immunity.
