I am delighted to say that SUnity Day is underway!  Put on your warm socks and head to one of the many fun venues around campus.  Check out the full schedule to see all the amazing events that are planned.

The activities planned for SUnity Day reflect our commitment to community and inclusivity, from conversations with experts on sustainability and intercultural learning to a social justice poetry slam. If you haven’t already done so, download the official SUnity Day app to plan your personal agenda, connect with fellow attendees on the community board, receive reminders and updates on any last-minute event changes, and so much more!

At noon, I hope you’ll join me at the official SUnity Day Ceremony in Bishops Lounge. And you definitely won’t want to miss the first-ever faculty/staff vs. student volleyball match in the afternoon in the Robertson Center.

Positivity Rates

Williamson County’s positivity rate continues to drop and currently sits at 14.88%. Because we are no longer performing surveillance testing, we have stopped reporting positivity rates and are now only reporting the weekly number of positive tests. Those numbers for last week are as follows:

• Student positives: 22
• Faculty positives: 0
• Staff positives: 2

Vaccine Clinic

Even with the positivity rate on the decline, we strongly encourage all students, faculty, and staff to get vaccinated, including a booster shot. This remains your best protection against serious illness and hospitalization. We will hold a vaccine clinic on campus on Friday, February 25, from 10 a.m.–2 p.m. in the Howry Center for first, second, and booster doses of the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines.
