| Tabroom.com Paradigm Review and Word Limit
To start the year off, we are asking all judges with a Tabroom.com judge paradigm to do a self-review of their paradigm by March 1 to ensure their paradigm aligns with NSDA standards and supports a fair, student-centered learning environment. Paradigms that have not been reviewed by their owner by March 1, 2026, will be temporarily removed until the self-review has occurred.
New this year, judge paradigms are limited to 1,500 words. This change ensures paradigms remain focused, easy to read, and helpful to students preparing for their rounds. Hyperlinking to an outside document is not permitted. Paradigms over the 1,500 word limit by March 1, 2026, will prevent a judge's account from being accessed until they are edited.
Please share our Judge Paradigm Standards with your school's judges and remind them about reviewing their paradigm in Tabroom.com! Coaches can now review their judges' paradigms directly from their judge roster in Tabroom.com by selecting "Your Judge's Paradigm" in the upper right corner.

Your voice matters in shaping NSDA events. All coaches and former competitors are invited to apply to join a Wording Committee for PF, LD, BQ, or 2026 National Tournament topics (World Schools, Extemp Debate, and Extemp Speaking). Committees research, draft, and refine topic options, directly impacting tournaments. Virtual meetings run March through May. Learn more or apply by January 16.

Encourage Students to Submit Legislation for the National Congress
Any middle or high school student who is an NSDA member can submit legislation for consideration in the 2026 National Tournament Docket. This is a great project for advanced Congress students to work on while you teach novices! Students whose legislation is selected for the Nationals Docket will be featured in Rostrum, receive an award after the tournament, and earn a $100 scholarship. Submissions are due February 5.
