Encourage Students to Submit Legislation for the National Docket
Any high school NSDA member student, regardless of their national qualification status, may directly submit legislation to be considered for the 2023 National Tournament Docket! Students can even submit multiple pieces of legislation for consideration. If their legislation is selected to be part of the Nationals Docket, they will be recognized in Rostrum, receive a trophy after the tournament, and be awarded a $100 scholarship. This is a great way for students to boost their resumes and be recognized for their research and writing skills! Encourage students to submit legislation by February 5.

Supplement Your After-School Practice with the Springboard Series
Our Springboard Series offers four free, online practice rounds per month, January through March. They take place after school at 6:00 p.m. CT with live judges and ballots. Thanks to the generosity of The Julie Burke Foundation, all are welcome to participate—no NSDA membership is required. These are ideal practice sessions for speech and debate students who want to build their confidence in competing while also receiving real feedback from judges across the nation.
