Remembrance, Reflection and Renewal
April has been filled with a variety of different opportunities to build capacity and reflection on ways of being and engaging with students, faith communities and religious leaders as well as with the IAM team.
In the Christian faith calendar we have moved from the season of Lent and entered Easter, remembering the death and resurrection of Jesus. For many people this remembrance and reflection holds different meanings.
This invitation to remember and reflect on our own and collective journeys of struggle, loss, letting go, facing our fears and even death in its many forms in order to be resurrected/renewed embraces the cycle of life. It inspires us to live an authentic life with dignity and love, setting an example for our companions on the journey.
In the LGBTI community we remember those who have paved the way for us through their struggle, resistance, courage and in some cases death, which comes in many forms, to build a free and inclusive community.
At IAM we are constantly aware of how rushed and filled our days can be. We remind ourselves to become still in order to remember and celebrate what God has done in our lives.
Thank you for being part of our remembrance, reflection and renewal cycle in making our world a better place.
