Wadsworth Improvement Project 75% Complete

Wadsworth Improvement Project Construction 75 Percent Complete

The Wadsworth Improvement Project remains on schedule, with completion expected by spring of 2026 and active construction finishing by late 2025.

Additional work was added, such as permanent improvements at the 38th Avenue intersection and extending the work to the original southern limits at 35th Avenue. This was announced in the fall of 2023 and will ensure long-term cost savings and benefits.

Today, over 75 percent of the project is complete, including all northbound traffic lanes on concrete pavement. Major underground utility work is wrapping up, and we're nearing completion of the concrete paving for the southbound lanes, which may finish ahead of schedule.

Subscribe to receive traffic alerts on the city's website and find updates on What's Up Wheat Ridge. Any community concerns may be directed to the project hotline at 303-390-0878 or email the project team at WadsworthProject@ci.wheatridge.co.us.

Lutheran Legacy Campus Ballot and Zoning Information

The video below is for informational purposes only. The City of Wheat Ridge adopted the Lutheran Legacy Campus Master Plan in 2021, to help guide the future of the campus now that the hospital has moved. To implement that plan, the city is working to rezone the property, and council has voted to bring a ballot measure before voters this November that makes adjustments to height requirements on the property.
