Next TeleLink Training in July

We got a lot of great input at this year's TeleLink User Group Meeting, including the fact that you want more training on designing efficient reports and creating functional filters in TeleLink. To meet this need, we're pleased to offer a TeleLink webinar on July 15 at 12 PM (Central). This no-cost training is perfect for any current member of the TeleLink community. We're also already planning training on the next two most requested TeleLink topics (configuring alerts and enriching reports via reference data).

Great Customers: A Recipe for Success!

We have the most awesome customers, and we love them!  Recently, Joe Herron, who heads up the Equinox Support team, explained exactly what makes our customers so great.
My experience as VP of Equinox Support has taught me a lot about working with customers. One of the most surprising facts I’ve learned is that... read on.

We love working with Phillip Berry, who attended and led a presentation at the 2019 TeleLink User Group. Fun fact: Phillip is a model train enthusiast who designed his home specifically to accommodate his collection!
The latest Equinox customer spotlight shines on Phillip Berry. Those who attended the TeleLink User Group in April got to meet Phillip and learn a bit about him. And anyone who did understands exactly why we want to introduce Phillip to the entire Equinox community!

Phillip began using TeleLink in 2016 when it was deployed to replace an in-house LCR system at his company. Their LCR system served them well for a decade before the company’s growth and complexity outpaced it. Phillip’s been with the company since 1999 and had built their previous LCR tool, so he quickly put his expertise and experience to work in TeleLink.

As the Manager Product Management – Voice, Phillip uses TeleLink daily in his quest to manage product margin. Specifically, he relies on TeleLink to manage and report on long distance traffic, to load and analyze carrier rates, to load bypass rates, and to analyze new rates from carriers. Phillip explains, “I get the most value from TeleLink’s Vendor Cost Summary report, which allows me to not only manage which carriers my company uses, but to also negotiate better rates with them. Simply put: TeleLink’s usage analytics let me efficiently manage carrier relationships and expenses.” His company also deployed Protector as their fraud management system.

Not only did Phillip attend his first-ever TeleLink User Group Meeting (TUGM) in April this year, but he also enlightened those present with a ‘How I Use TeleLink’ session. According to Phillip, TUGM was an educational, worthwhile experience. He said, “TeleLink’s interface is intuitive, easy to learn, and I learned about several new features at the meeting that I can leverage going forward.”
Hailing from Madison, Wisconsin, Phillip is married and has two grown daughters. When Phillip is not using TeleLink’s analytics to save his company money, he devotes time to his extensive model railroad and is an avid Brewer’s/baseball fan. Phillip’s fascination with trains dates back to his childhood, and the model he built depicts the trains and landscape he experienced in his youth in upstate New York. You can learn more about Phil’s model railroad hobby here
We heartily thank Phillip for participating in the 2019 TeleLink User Group and for being a part of the Equinox community! We encourage you to talk telecom, trains, or baseball with him next time you see him.
