Members of the media are invited to cover a special awards presentation on Thursday, June 21 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. on the West Steps of the Capitol.
During this special media event, the California State Fair will recognize the Best of Show winners from the 2018 Commercial Wine, Beer, Cheese, and Extra Virgin Olive Oil competitions. Along with the Best of Show winners, the CA State Fair and the California Department of Technology will present awards to the 2018 Champions of Technology. Below is a full list of the winners.

Members of the media are also invited to cover, and sample, the winning products at the Best of California Tasting Reception later that evening at the Cal Expo Fairgrounds. The Tasting Reception takes place from 5:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. This is a special event held prior to the annual CA State Fair Gala, which recognizes the 2018 scholarship recipients and raises funds for future scholarships. This year, more than $53,500 in scholarships was given to 26 students.
