Experimart, as all of life, is really a confluence of ideas, energy and opportunities. The things that are here today might be different tomorrow. And that is what makes every day exciting and why we say life is an experiment!
From the outset, the experiment of Experimart at Building 10 in the Factory was a limited time engagement. We didn't know exactly how much time we had here but we always knew it would be only the first step in the journey. The clock has been moving fast on us and now here we are at the end of one chapter and excitedly about to head into a new one. I was hoping to be able to send this note out a long time in advance of the change. Alas it's been a busy season and while making plans takes time - time itself waits for no one.
We’ve been so fortunate to be able to launch our experimental retail store and museum at The Factory! The Factory Crew is amazing and the community has welcomed us with open arms! We’ll certainly miss being here and this singular space we’ve called home for the last 2 years. We will do our part to continue all of these new friendships and relationships in new creative ways.
A million thanks go out to The Factory and the Holladay Property team. I want to specifically thank our friends Ronnie Wenzler and Allen Arender. These gents have been right there with us and supporting the dream from the outset. It certainly wouldn't have happened without their help and encouragement.
If you are able - come join us Saturday afternoon at 3:00 to celebrate all of the interesting and unexpected avenues and people this particular chapter has brought together.
We’ll be announcing our new location officially then!
This Saturday will be your last chance to see this exact iteration of Experimart (though many of the experiments will continue in our new space).
And of course it is an opportunity to join the Experimental Club - which will continue to evolve and expand in its new home! Based on our recent scheming, you’ll definitely want to be in the club ASAP and have access to the knowledge banks as we roll into some new ideas!
As part of the Broom Ceremonies, you’ll also have an opportunity to participate in a SELF TIME CAPSULE.
There are so many things I want to relay about our time at the Factory, but that'll have to wait for another time. STAY TUNED FOR NEWS ABOUT THE FUTURE!
This weekend we'll celebrate what has been and look forward to what is to come!
Hope to see you there!
We’re in a season of changes at Experimart over the next few months specifically but the longer game of why we are doing things and what we are doing isn’t changing at all.
