BOSTON (August 4, 2015) - - Chosen for her outstanding professional accomplishments, Bernkopf Goodman is pleased to announce that Lydia G. Chesnick, a real estate and business law partner, has been recognized by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly as one of the “Top Women of Law 2015”. Chesnick is among 50 prominent female attorneys whom Mass Lawyers Weekly will honor at an awards reception on October 28, 2015.
According to the publication, award recipients are selected by a panel comprised of members of the community and representatives from Lawyers Weekly’s editorial department. The Top Women of Law event celebrates outstanding achievements made by exceptional women. Each year Mass Lawyers Weekly honors women who have made tremendous professional strides and demonstrated great accomplishments in the legal field, which includes: pro bono, social justice, advocacy and business. The awards highlight women who are pioneers, educators, trailblazers, and role models. Chesnick has been zealously representing real estate and business clients for over two decades. In addition to her busy practice, Chesnick has been active, on a pro bono basis, tirelessly working with the Barry L. Price Rehabilitation Center in Newton, Massachusetts over the last 25 years to provide legal support for their annual fundraising Gala. She has conducted a workshop for aspiring women entrepreneurs, and donated countless hours to an organization dedicated to working with addiction issues for the artistic community in Greater Boston. She is also a long time member of The Boston Club, a community of executive and professional leaders promoting the advancement of women to top leadership positions.
“We are delighted that Mass Lawyers Weekly recognized Lydia to be among its “Top Women of Law 2015,” said Neil Markson, Managing Partner of Bernkopf Goodman. “Her outstanding skills as a real estate and business attorney and tremendous devotion to clients as well as her active involvement in the community through charitable and business organizations, earn Lydia a well-deserved place on that list.”
Chesnick, a graduate of Boston University School of Law, has previously been recognized by the American Lawyer Media (ALM) on its list of Women Leaders in the Law. She has achieved an AV Preeminent Peer Review Rating by Martindale-Hubbell and has been honored as a Massachusetts Super Lawyer (2010 through 2015).
