Honoring Gwinnett County Officers |
The Gwinnett Place CID mourns the loss of a Gwinnett County officer who was killed in the line of duty earlier this month. Another officer is in critical but stable condition. Our thoughts are with the officers, their families and the entire Gwinnett County Police Department during this difficult time.
For those who wish to support the officers and their families, the Gwinnett County Police Foundation is the official and sole organization authorized to manage donations. Contributions can be made by visiting the Gwinnett Police Department website and selecting the “LINE-OF-DUTY SUPPORT FUND,” which will direct you to the Zeffy Line-of-Duty Support Fund page.

Keeping Gwinnett Place Shining: 2025 Highlights
|
The Gwinnett Place CID plays a key role in maintaining the look and safety of 28 miles of roadways in Gwinnett’s central business district, including the I-85 interchanges at Pleasant Hill Road and Steve Reynolds Boulevard.
In 2025 alone, CID-funded landscape crews removed 38.86 tons of trash and 1,284 illegal signs from area streets. Since 2007, these efforts have resulted in the removal of more than 561 tons of trash and 26,492 illegal signs, keeping our district welcoming for residents, visitors and businesses alike.
The CID’s work goes beyond cleanup. Last year, the CID had repaired 41 damaged street signs and restored 171 street and parking lot lights, enhancing safety throughout the district. And thanks to the dedication of team members like Glenn Wisdom, the CID’s Director of Operations, 467 abandoned shopping carts were returned to their retail locations, saving local businesses an estimated $116,750.
A big round of applause goes to Glenn, as well as the teams at Russell Landscape and Signal, for their outstanding work and ongoing commitment to keeping Gwinnett Place clean, safe, attractive and welcoming.

2025 Flock Camera Impact: Central Precinct
|
Gwinnett County Police shared the 2025 Flock camera statistics from the Central Precinct, highlighting the significant role technology plays in keeping our community safe.
Thanks to the camera funded by Gwinnett Place and Sugarloaf CIDs:
|
- 20 stolen vehicles were recovered
-
7 arrests were made related to stolen vehicles
- 5 stolen license tags were recovered
- 1 arrest was made related to stolen license tags
- 30 wanted persons were located
- A total of 155 arrests were made in the Central Precinct
|
These numbers demonstrate the power of collaboration between law enforcement and community partners. The Flock cameras are helping to deter crime, recover stolen property and ensure Gwinnett remains a safe place to live, work and visit.
