New Additions to the Team:
|
As mentioned in our previous newsletter, Liz Schmitt has taken on a new and exciting role here at Okemo. This means we will have a new Ski + Ride School Location Manager for the upcoming winter season. We are happy to announce that Kaylie Will is taking over the role!
Kaylie is a local through-and-through, having been born and raised in Rutland, VT. She started her career at Killington, moved out west to Vail for numerous seasons, and then returned back home to Okemo, where she has worked as a Ski + Ride School Supervisor for the past several seasons.
Kaylie is married, with two kids, both of whom started snowboarding before they were 1 year old. Of course Kaylie loves snowboarding, but she also enjoys soccer, concerts, gardening, and camping. When she is not on the hill, there is a good chance she is enjoying some sushi rolls or any other seafood she can get her hands on.
Please join us in congratulating and welcoming Kaylie into her new role for the 2022-23 season!

New to the team this year is: Keryn Meierdiercks. She is the new senior admin for Skier Services, assisting with communication, payroll, hiring and whatever miscellaneous items may pop up throughout the different departments.
Before coming to Okemo, Keryn worked for the Woodstock Inn and Resort, as the operational supervisor of the Woodstock Athletic Club. She has also worked as a ticket seller for Killington, front desk agent for Mountain Top Inn, and general manager of different Chipotle locations.
While Keryn is new to Okemo, she is not new to Vermont. Originally from Long Island, Keryn began skiing at two years old and grew up skiing at Jay Peak. Her favorite days on the hill always involve powder turns and tree skiing. Besides skiing, Keryn also enjoys paddle boarding, hiking, cooking, and tennis. Unfortunately, she is also an avid Jets fan, which only leads to disappointment every NFL season.
Please join us in welcoming Keryn to the team for the 2022-23 season!

Instructors Take the Initiative on Private Lesson Bookings
|
We are always looking for ways to improve the guest experience at Okemo. To this end, we would like to make the private lesson booking process easier for your guests. Our goal is to have instructors communicate directly with their clients and submit a form that Chris Saylor, Keri Reid, and Kaylie Will will then use to book your lessons. For a detailed explanation of this process, please click the "Private Lesson Guest Communication" button below. If you would like, you can start submitting these requests now. We are not requiring you to contact your clients, but we do feel that providing this service for them will improve their pre-arrival experience. It also will help clarify the guests expectations around your availability.
