Join us in welcoming the new assistant dean of retention and persistence programs, Mohammed Soriano-Bilal!
Mohammed comes to USF from Stanford University, where he served in student affairs, human resources, and most recently as the director of IDEAL Advancement, where he led the implementation of myriad inclusion and belonging efforts, including institutional change, equity-centered communities of practice, inclusive talent acquisition, and learning and development for faculty, students, and staff.

Mohammed is currently a doctoral candidate at the UC Berkeley School of Education, where his research explores how AI, networks, and inclusion efforts influence senior higher education leaders tasked with implementing equity-focused organizational change initiatives. Welcome, Mohammed!

Cheryl Derricotte: Ann Getty Institute 36 Trees Exhibition & Panel |
Tuesday, Dec. 2 | 5–7 p.m. | McLaren 252
Cheryl Derricotte, the Ann Getty Institute of Art and Design inaugural visiting artist, will present her project 36 Trees. The exhibition will include her creative research, photographs, and prints from her residency at the University of San Francisco. This event will feature a conversation with members of the USF community around public streetscapes in San Francisco neighborhoods. The exhibition reception is 5–6 p.m., and the conversation is 6–7 p.m.
This event is free and open to the public.

The Center for Academic and Student Achievement is your home for compassionate academic and personal support that promotes holistic student development. Each USF undergraduate student is assigned to an academic success coach. You can find out who your coach is in your Student Hub under "My Success Team." You may make an appointment with your coach or visit any coach during their regular drop-in hours without an appointment.

| The Learning, Speaking, and Writing Centers

USF offers academic assistance to all students through the Learning, Writing, and Speaking Centers. Services are available at no cost to USF students and include subject-specific tutoring, writing assistance, and communications-related support. The Learning Center also provides opportunities for academic skill development through one-on-one academic skills coaching, group workshops, and online resources.
