We are so proud and excited to share with you our newest physically-distant (for now) but socially swell program - Ignite! Neighbor Nights! Neighbor Nights work to strengthen our immediate neighborhood, creative community, and beyond. These fun, intergenerational events begin in April of 2020 and will be hosted on the 3rd Thursday of each month through October. All are welcome at these fun-filled events.
Join us for our first Neighbor Night on April 15 from 5-8PM at the corner of E. 55th St. and St. Clair Avenue. April's theme is Sweet Street: Community Space & Visual Art – we will focus on community vibrancy and artistic works. Stay tuned to hear more about partners and activities for April and every month!

48 Hour Virtual Music Fest Turns ONE!
| |
It's hard to believe it's been a year since music venues shut down (then again, it also feels like it's been an eternity). Fortunately for Clevelanders, we've had the nonstop efforts of our friends, partners, and Ignite! Impact Award Winners over a 48 Hour Virtual Music Fest, and we could not be prouder of the impact this program has made!
This month, the project will celebrate 1 year, 700 hours of programming, 100,000 impressions and more than $20k raised for nonprofit partners - impressive stats for what began as an online event created to give local performers an opportunity to continue their profession, while also benefiting programs and charities in need of financial support during the early days of pandemic uncertainty. The festival has become a focal point of pandemic performance and generosity recognized not only across northeast Ohio but reaching across the country and even globally.
For the first time since its inception, the festival will be raising money for itself rather than an outside beneficiary (to date, groups like Black Lives Matter 216, The Hunger Network and Citizens for a Safer Cleveland). Funds raised in March will help reimagine and build capacity for a long-term incarnation of 48 Hour Virtual Music Fest to continue bringing musicians together, including a website, financial planning, consulting and more!

| Ignite! Impact Award winner and 48 Hour Virtual Music Fest Founder, Meg Stepka
| |
| | |
The work that Meg and her team are doing is exactly the kind of work that the Ignite! Impact Awards were created to celebrate. Meg saw a major need when music venues closed and artists were left without any sort of reliable work. Then, she got to work to fix it. We have loved working with her and watching this program take shape. If you or someone you know is a mover and shaker like Meg, apply or nominate them for an Ignite! Impact Award today!

Community Spotlight:Tim & Community Greenhouse Partners
| |
Tim Smith is graphic designer who decided to give it all up and become an urban farmer – despite being happily married, "comfortably middle aged" and pretty comfortable in his desk job and day-to-day life, overall. His work as a Peace Activist made him realize that there can't be world peace until there is peace in our neighborhoods, and that can't be accomplished until everyone is well fed and fed well.
Community Greenhouse Partners is a sustainable urban farm that applies ecological design principles and engages community participation to grow wholesome food year-round that is provided at low-cost to the neighborhood, improving personal health while generating training, mentoring, and employment opportunities.
We are lucky to welcome Tim and CGP alongside other susainability-related exhibitors to our May 20 Neighbor Night, Feelin' Fresh: Farmers Market & Food Security.
CGP just announced a $5,000 donation challenge, with all funds matched. The funds are earmarked for house renovations, particularly addressing the bathrooms. You can contribute here.

In Jackie's Own Words:
"Having a space at IngenuityLabs has been instrumental in allowing me to start my new podcast in a live environment. Without IngenuityLabs, we would be limited to virtual interviews and would not have the flexibility to utilize both virtual platforms and in-person taping. The use of both types of taping environments keeps the podcast fresh and is definitely more fun for us as the hosts! Someday we may even be able to have a live studio audience! The entire Ingenuity community has welcomed me into their group and has assisted me in the preparation of the space for its intended purpose. It is inspiring to be around the creative energy at the Hamilton Collaborative!"

Our friends and partners at the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District have been loyal supporters of Ingenuity in recent years. Take a look behind-the-scenes of the work they do in the video below. Go inside a 112-inch brick CSO (Combined Sewer Overflow) at Edgewater Park, where you'll learn how the sewer system works to prevent flooding in rivers and streams, and to keep your basements as dry as possible.
