| June Regional Research Report |
In June, hotel Demand was relatively flat compared to the same month last year, as hotels sold just 0.8% more room nights Year-over-Year (YoY), while Supply remained elevated, up 2.8% YoY. As a result, hotel Occupancy dropped 2.0% from last June to average 75.0% throughout the region. Both Josephine and Klamath County hotels saw Occupancy rise in June.
Short-term rental supply also increased 3.1% YoY in June, while rental Demand declined 2.3% compared to last year. Occupancy throughout the region averaged 65.7% for the month.

Region 3 OWCLPTPP Fund Closing Soon |
The 2026 Region 3 Oregon Wine Country License Plate Tourism Promotion Program (OWCLPTPP) guidelines are now available. This annual funding program supports wine and culinary tourism marketing projects in Douglas, Jackson, and Josephine counties.
Applications are open July 17–August 14, 2026. If your organization has a project that promotes Southern Oregon's wine and culinary experiences, we encourage you to review the guidelines and apply.

Travel Southern Oregon Strategic Investment Fund |
Travel Southern Oregon's 2026/2027 Strategic Investment Fund application period runs July 17–August 28, 2026.
This year's priorities include accessibility, niche and off-season marketing, visitor-facing outdoor recreation, dark sky tourism product development, and destination stewardship.
If your project aligns with these priorities, review the funding guidelines and start preparing your application. Award notifications are expected in mid-September.
