Dear Colleagues,
Our work on the Academic Analysis and Administrative Review is progressing on schedule with October activities primarily focused on data collection and validation. The university-wide administrative services survey closed on October 1, and we want to thank everyone who took the time to respond. As we have said throughout the process, our intent is provide the opportunity for the entire campus to participate in some way.
The analysis of the responses from the survey is under way and will be used to guide the administrative review. As it relates to the Academic Analysis, data collection related to courses, student enrollment, and degree completion is also under way.
The Data Team met three times in October, reviewing the course analysis approach, a draft of the course analysis including student credit hours and course completion metrics, and an initial draft of student enrollment and degree completion by program. In November, the team will review three other analyses (faculty, program and financial). The team will continue to meet weekly through the end of the semester. The team roster and meeting dates can be
found here.
The Steering Team met twice in October, reviewing the overall project plan and the draft course analysis. Information on the Steering Team roster and meeting dates can be
viewed here.
In addition to working with the project teams, rpk GROUP participated in several meetings across campus to provide updates, respond to questions, and to receive feedback. Specifically, they met with the Faculty Senate executive committee, the deans of the Academic Colleges and Library, the College of Arts and Sciences chairs, the College of Nursing and Health Professions faculty, along with SEAC.
Please mark your calendar and join us at our next operational sustainability focused Town Hall meeting, scheduled for Monday, December 4, 2023 from 3:30-5 p.m. We plan to share the initial analyses and findings of the data. The meeting will take place via Zoom and will be recorded. The link will be shared as we get closer to the meeting date.
A project overview of the academic analysis and administrative review project as well as the overall operational sustainability initiative can be found within the Uplift Valpo website by clicking
