Why Financial Literacy Matters

April marks Financial Literacy Month, a time to reflect on and promote financial skills and education.
Currently, the United States 🇺🇸 ranks among the top 4 countries with the highest debt per capita and 63% of Americans say they live paycheck to paycheck.
Only 49% of Canadian 🇨🇦 households report having a personal budget and nearly 3/4 of Canadians have some kind of outstanding debt.
In the UK 🇬🇧, more than 1/3 of adults say they do not feel confident managing money and around 1/5 of adults share they rarely or never save money.
Real change starts with equipping the next generation with the knowledge and skills to build a more secure financial future.
Improving financial literacy and our students' ability to engage in the financial markets is at the heart of RTSWS and our Fall Financial and Investment Literacy Program. In participating in RTSWS, our students experience a 71% increase in their financial & investment knowledge on average, empowering them to take charge of their own financial future and careers!

Our Spring Mentorship Program is approaching the finish line!
In the 5th and final session, student and mentor pairs will take the professional skills they have been building over the last several weeks and put them into practice by conducting mock interviews. We hope the meaningful connections they've made will continue beyond the program.
