The time has come! The invitations have been delivered, and staff training is ongoing. Training sessions are limited, and it’s important that you attend your assigned session. A limited number of post-launch training sessions will be available for those who are unable to attend their assigned training. If you haven't received an invitation, or if you can’t attend your scheduled session, please reach out to shift@umd.edu, and a team member will assist you with alternate dates. | Reminder: It's PRD Season! |
The Performance Review and Development (PRD) year ends on March 31, 2025 and all annual performance reviews for regular and Contingent II employees must be completed and submitted to FMHR no later than May 2, University Human Resources (UHR) recently announced that this spring's Performance Review and Development (PRD) process will continue to use the familiar system on paper to complete the 2024-2025 PRD, rather than the new digital system in Workday. Annual Cyber Security Training |
It's time for the annual Defend Your Shell cyber security training. This course is required to maintain security access to DIT systems; and non-completion may result in revoking of your security permissions. The deadline to complete is April 4. | Tips to Avoid the Dreaded "Reply All" |
Imagine this: You send a project update email to a large group of stakeholders. Several recipients have follow-up questions but instead of solely replying to you, they hit the dreaded “Reply All” button. Now EVERYONE is getting bombarded with emails! Making the problem worse, irritated employees begin using “Reply All” to say, “Hey! Don’t reply all!” Many emails later, a simple update has turned into pandemonium. Check out our 3 simple tips to avoid email hullabaloo. Hint: One of them is a simple Bcc.
