A Defining Investment for SR 400’s Future |
|
|
|
A new blog on the True North 400 website highlights why the SR 400 Express Lanes project is a defining investment in Georgia’s future. Written by Kyle Collins, P3 Communications Program Manager for the Georgia Department of Transportation, the blog explores how this transformative project will support long-term mobility, economic growth and quality of life across North Fulton.
Through a landmark public-private partnership between Georgia DOT, the State Road and Tollway Authority and SR 400 Peach Partners, the express lanes project brings together innovation, financial stewardship and expanded mobility options for generations to come. For the communities along SR 400, the benefits are clear: more reliable commutes, stronger access to jobs and economic opportunities, and a foundation for the upcoming Express Lane Transit service.
As growth continues throughout the corridor, the SR 400 Express Lanes will help ensure North Fulton remains connected, competitive and attractive to businesses looking to relocate or expand.

North Fulton Leaders Gather in Washington, D.C.
|
The True North 400 team recently joined the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce for its 2026 Washington, D.C. Fly-In, an annual trip that brings business and community leaders together in the nation’s capital to discuss the federal priorities shaping the continued growth of the region.
Held May 11–13, the trip gave North Fulton leaders the opportunity to participate in meaningful conversations with U.S. Senators Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock, as well as U.S. Representatives Rich McCormick and Lucy McBath. Discussions covered a wide range of issues impacting Georgia businesses and communities, including tax policy, workforce development, infrastructure, healthcare, artificial intelligence and tariffs.
The delegation also heard from U.S. Treasurer Brandon Beach on the national economic landscape and opportunities impacting businesses across Georgia. In addition, participants engaged with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the National Association of Counties to better understand federal priorities affecting local communities and regional economic growth.
Conversations around transportation priorities like the SR 400 Express Lanes Project, as well as workforce and business development, help ensure the needs of Alpharetta, Milton and Roswell remain part of the broader state and national dialogue.

Celebrating the Team That Keeps Alpharetta Moving |
Public Works professionals play an essential role in keeping our communities safe, connected and running smoothly. From maintaining roads and sidewalks to supporting infrastructure projects, managing stormwater systems and responding when issues arise, their work often happens behind the scenes, but its impact is felt every day.
The True North 400 team was honored to sponsor a luncheon to celebrate the conclusion of National Public Works Week, as a thank you for the work they do to keep Alpharetta moving forward.
