| Boulder awarded $936,000 to extend multi-use path |
US36/28th Street from Fourmile Canyon Creek to Jay Road
|
The path will extend safe, separated infrastructure for people walking, biking and taking local and regional transit.
Â
Planning and design will begin in 2025 when funds are distributed, with construction to follow.
By building a more comfortable and connected network for people to travel, the city aims to achieve its transportation goals to be safe, be equitable, provide travel choices and support clean air.

Design for Civic Change Fellows Selected |
Our staff were selected for the Center for Urban Pedagogy Design for Civic Change Fellowship! The six-month fellowship will focus on inclusive and equitable engagement to advance equity.Â
Â
“This fellowship will give us additional and better tools and techniques to consistently and effectively engage with and respond to the mobility needs of historically underrepresented communities,” said Melanie Sloan, who along with fellow transportation planners, Ericka Amador and Daniel Sheeter, will participate in the fellowship.Â
Â
These tools and techniques will advance the city’s Racial Equity goals and improve equity on transportation projects like the Core Arterial Network initiative.Â
