Executive Director's Note |
As my first six months as Executive Director come to a close, I’m filled with gratitude and pride for how far we’ve come. This season has been one of incredible growth—for both myself and the Rainbow Rose Center. I’ve developed leadership skills I didn’t know I had and completed 12 classes, cohorts, and certifications to strengthen my knowledge in business, DEI, and counseling. Together with our dedicated staff, board, and volunteers, we’ve built a strong, positive environment focused on serving our community with compassion and purpose.
Since May, we’ve added 17 new peer-to-peer and social groups, strengthened our existing ones, and participated in 23 community tabling events. We’ve also joined or helped coordinate 9 community events and launched our Rainbow Rose Center Gives Back volunteer program, supporting 9 other nonprofits with our time and energy. I’ve had the honor of speaking at 10 local businesses, churches, nonprofits, and rallies, and our work has been featured in multiple news outlets and on WITF—all helping us amplify our mission of inclusion and support.
The Rainbow Rose Center is not defined by one building but by the people who make up this incredible community. Together, we’re expanding across York County and growing our presence in Adams County, building partnerships with affirming organizations, and creating more opportunities for connection and care. I am truly honored to lead this organization and deeply thankful for everyone who continues to support our mission. The next six months promise even more growth, impact, and community—together, we are stronger.
-Rainbow Rose Center Executive Director, Christina Wingert
