Dodge, Duck, Dip, Dive, & Dodge. Escape the stress of school and work by playing in this fun 5v5 Dodgeball Tournament on Thursday, Mar. 7 from 7 - 9 p.m.! Register as a team or free agent — free agents will be placed on teams at the tournament.

Attention PSU students planning to graduate in June! You must apply for your degree if you plan to graduate this spring. The deadline for undergraduate students to apply for their degree is Sunday, March 10 and for graduate students it is Monday, April 5.

The Summer Scholars program is hiring peer mentors |
Are you passionate about making a positive impact on others' college experiences? Do you remember your first days on campus and wish you had someone to guide you through the transition? If so, apply to become a Summer Scholar Peer Mentor for our upcoming Summer Scholars Program. This summer marks the fourth group of scholars for the First Year Summer Scholars Program and they need enthusiastic, empathetic and responsible individuals to help them navigate their initial steps on campus. For best consideration, apply by Apr. 1.

Attend PSU’s research symposium workshops |
Present at PSU Student Research Symposium: The PSU Student Research Symposium, is taking place on Wednesday, May 8, as part of PSU Research Week and you're invited! Undergraduate and graduate students from many disciplines are encouraged to showcase their research and creative works. There will be several poster awards and an oral presentation raffle drawing for both undergraduate and graduate students. Winners will each receive $100! Interested in presenting? Please submit a proposal by Sunday, Mar. 10.
Student Research Symposium Workshops: The Center for Internship, Mentoring and Research (CIMR) is hosting a series of workshops to help students prepare for the PSU Student Research Symposium. All workshop attendees will be entered for a raffle prize! Can’t make it? Workshops will be recorded and any workshop material will be shared on the SRS site as well as students who RSVP.

Presidential Speaker Series focuses on Tribal student success |
PSU students are invited to attend the next in the Presidential Speaker Series, on Tuesday, Mar. 5 at 4 p.m. in the Smith Memorial Student Union Ballroom. The featured speaker is Dr. Frank Arpan, the president of Haskell Indian Nations University in Kansas. Hear how he is leading his institution in expanding opportunities for Tribal students to develop professionally and personally in a student-centered environment. The Presidential Speaker Series features conversations with university presidents of Minority Serving Institutions from around the country, aimed at helping PSU explore critical ideas, paradigms and practices to support our increasingly diverse community.

Focus on Cultural Centers: Pan-African Commons |
This week the Inside Portland State blog focuses on the Pan-African Commons (PAC), one of the many cultural centers on the PSU campus. The PAC was created as a space for healing and community. Located in Room 236 of Smith Memorial Student Union, PAC is a community space that reclaims African, Black American, Caribbean, Central/South American and Black identities through programming, resources and identity development.

Library food carts to close by July 1 |
The food carts near Millar Library must relocate by July 1 due to a lack of wastewater infrastructure. Portland State University's Facilities and Property Management department made the decision after efforts to meet new regulations failed. Cart owners were notified on Feb. 15 and thanked for their service.

The Smith's coffee + eats shop in the Smith Memorial Student Union has been offering Portland-roasted coffee, house-baked pastries and biscuits, vegan and gluten-free options since becoming part of the Bowery Bagels family last fall.
