Looking for a place to watch the Madness? March Madness, that is!
Louisville Medicine upcoming themes:
April – Life After Medicine (due 3/1) Of course there is life after medicine! Have you retired, yourself – if so, what are you doing now? If you’re not retired yet, what do you plan to do in your life after medicine one day?
May – Annual Report (due 4/1) You’re encouraged to write on any topic you’d like!
Be on the lookout for new themes in upcoming GLMS communications! Please reach out to Kathryn Vance at kathryn.vance@glms.org if you’d like to share your thoughts in an upcoming issue.
It takes two to make a thing go right! In this month’s Louisville Medicine, we’re exploring dual physician marriages. While often navigating demanding schedules, having a partner in the same field can be very rewarding…not to mention the luxury of a “curbside consult” when you get home. Read more about our members and their love stories in this month’s issue here.
Dr. Who
After war broke out in Iran, Dr. Laleh Rezaei fled to the U.S. for a chance to become the physician she always dreamed of. From learning English while obtaining her RN, to owning her own practice in New Albany, IN, she has faced many hurdles along the way. In her new office, previously a bank, they now have outdoor drive-thru lanes for sick patients. Read more in this month’s Dr. Who about her “possibilitarian” attitude that has allowed her to stay positive throughout her life and reach many personal and professional milestones.
