World Student Organization Hosts International Dinner and Cultural Festival

More than 200 guests attended the 2023 International Dinner and Cultural Festival featuring a bountiful feast offering culinary experiences unique to each country our students represent. The festival also highlighted the musical, lyrical, poetic and performance skills of several students representing Nepal, India, Ghana, Bolivia, and the United States. Guests were also treated to a fashion show of colorful Ghanaian traditional attire for special occasions, while the Nepali dancers wore native silk sarees. Since its inception nearly 35 years ago, the annual event hosted by Walsh University’s World Student Organization has provided thousands of students and community members the chance to experience food prepared by our students as well as culture and fashion from around the world. April is Nationally Recognized as Sexual Assault Awareness Month

During the month of April, Sexual Assault Awareness Month, Walsh University, and the Cavalier Safeguard Initiative aim to raise public awareness about sexual violence and educate the community on how to prevent it. Beginning Monday, April 3, a month-long series of workshops, activities and speakers will kick off. Nicole Braddock Bromley, a survivor, international advocate and public speaker will come to campus on Monday, April 17, to present a keynote on child sexual abuse and trafficking titled, “Our Little Secret.” She will speak from 7-8:30 p.m., in the Barrette Business and Community Center. Honors Thesis presentations will be held this week on March 29 and 30. After each presentation, there will be an opportunity for questions and discussion. Walsh University graduate student and distance runner Zach Kreft won Midwest Region Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Year.

Men's cross country/track and field is currently ranked 8^th in the country for the Damon Martin Program of the Year award. Read More
