We are so excited for you to join us at WashU! You will receive a special edition of the Bear Bulletin just like this each evening during Fall Welcome containing information about the following day.

Please pay special attention to the REQUIRED EVENTS because they may be related to academic requirements. Also, take note of non-school-affiliated programs, such as social events. We strongly advise you to participate in all programs to get the most out of your Fall Welcome experience.  

Required events are marked with an asterisk (*).

We are very excited to welcome you to the WashU community!

6:00PM - 7:30PM: Welcome BBQ* on the Village Lawn to get to know your WUSA and fellow transfer and exchange students while enjoying dinner from a St. Louis favorite, music, and games! 

8:00PM - 8:45PM: Transfer & Exchange Student Floor Meeting (Residential Students Only)* Meet with an RA for a session covering everything you need to know for your first night living on WashU’s campus. 

9:30PM - 10:30PM: LGBTQIA+ Affinity Panel and Social This will take place in Risa Commons, located on the South 40, in Zetcher House. All are invited to join for an engaging panel discussion featuring current students. You will gain valuable insight and advice for navigating campus and the St. Louis community.

10:00PM - 11:30PM: Hypnotic Hijinks with Special Guest Sailesh. This comedy hypnosis show combines the art of hypnosis with Sailesh’s comedic flair and invites volunteers from the audience to become the stars of the show.

As you prepare to start your time at WashU, you will have many experiences similar to those of other new students, starting with Fall Welcome. The orientation events are intended to provide a shared experience and foster community among your fellow transfer and exchange students and the entire WashU community.  

If you are planning to live on campus, submit please check the Housing Portal as soon as possible for information regarding your new home. Many of you recently received communication from ResLife regarding how to access your new home, please refer to this email. You can also visit the Residential Life website for helpful information

You should have received communication from your WUSA about joining a  Microsoft Teams group chat. Please make sure you join the chat so you can receive important messages and reminders from your WUSA. We encourage you to download the app and turn notifications on.
