Celebrating 60 Years!
Sixty years ago today, St. Michael's opened its doors to 63 first, second and third grade students with subsequent grades added each year. While St M has grown to meet the changing needs of our students, what has stayed constant is our strong values, the love of learning that is instilled and the sense of belonging that our students, families and faculty feel here. The spirit of St M will live in generations of Dragons for years to come!
On Friday, we gathered for a full School chapel service to celebrate St M's lasting legacy. Special thanks to St M alum and past parent, Matthew Steilberg '78, who gave the Chapel sermon. Matthew shared that while students have many goals here during their school years, at St M, students are truly taught to care for our communities and each other. Thus, our number ONE shared goal as Dragons is treating others with kindness.

Middle School Camping Trip/Challenge Discovery Forms Due ASAP
Sixth and Seventh Grade Families: release/medical forms must be submitted by Monday, September 11 for the Challenge Discovery field trip on Thursday. Click HERE for info and forms. Extended Day: New LS Drop-In Pricing
Families in need of a single day of Lower School after-school childcare from time to time may take advantage of new daily rate options: $15 drop-in rate from 3-4:30 p.m. and $30 drop-in rate from 3-6 p.m. Please contact Allyson Steele with 24-hours notice to reserve your spot.

Lower School Birthday Books
The Birthday Book Assembly, a long-standing St M tradition, offer students a way to present a favorite book to the library in honor of their birthdays, in honor of someone special such as a teacher or sibling, or in memory of a loved one. There are three different Birthday Book programs during the school year.
The deadline for submitting Birthday Books for the October 19 program is September 28.
Mrs. Wise has a selection of new books in the Lower School library from which to choose. Please feel free to email her (cwise@stmschool.net) if you have any questions.

Baseball Anyone?
We are excited to announce that St. Michael's will offer Middle School fall baseball clinics on Fridays starting September 15.
Who: 6th-8th graders
What: Fall baseball
When: Fridays, 3-4:30 p.m., 9/15- 10/20, (no clinic on 9/22)
Where: Trinity softball field
Equipment: glove, helmet, bat and any other baseball protection you wear.

Updated Allergy ProtocolIf a student has severe life-threatening allergies and uses an epi-pen or rescue inhaler for severe asthma or breathing issues, we are asking that families complete the FARE Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Emergency Care Plan with their healthcare provider and return a signed copy to School. The FARE form is located in the School offices. (This form and a parent instruction letter has been sent home with children with known allergies.) Again, the plan must be completed by a health care professional with any accommodations that are to be implemented in the classroom.

Say Cheese! Picture Day Plan - Middle School pictures will be taken on Tuesday, Sept. 12.
- Lower School pictures will be taken on Wednesday, Sept. 13.
All Students will have a picture taken for the yearbook. If you have not already done so, please complete the photo order form that came home with your child and return it to your child's teacher in the Lower School or to Erbie Godwin in the Middle School office NO LATER THAN MONDAY. IF YOU DO NOT PLAN TO ORDER PICTURES, PLEASE CHECK NO ORDER, AND RETURN THE FORM TO SCHOOL - EVERY CHILD NEEDS TO TURN IN AN ORDER FORM. Eighth Grade Class Pictures-Special Instructions- HERE is the link for special instructions for 8th grade parents/students regarding school pictures. Parents and students should pay special attention to the information, and sign and return the signature portion of the form to Erbie Godwin no later than MONDAY.
