Students did a great job following our spring 2022 pre-arrival/re-entry procedures and booster requirement. We have begun the semester with a two-week positivity rate of 0.62%, and 86% of students who were eligible to receive a booster as of the first day of classes have done so. Those who are not yet eligible will receive an email once they become eligible indicating the deadline (adjusted for each student) for receiving the booster.
Employees also have done their part, with approximately 80% providing information about their vaccination status and strong compliance with our random testing protocol.
Our entire community's commitment to masking and testing has helped keep the positivity rate low and allowed us to have a smooth re-opening. Our wastewater testing indicates very low quantities of COVID on campus, and the surveillance testing center in Morris Conference Center has been busy.
A hearty thanks goes to everyone for being community-minded and continuing to work hard to keep one another safe and healthy.
