Tri-County Arts Afterschool ClubMeet the Curator at the Wisconsin Museum of Art
Join the Tri-County Visual Arts 4-H Club members 4:30 pm on January 11 at the Museum of Wisconsin Art located at 205 Veterans Ave, West Bend, WI 53095.
We will meet the curator and find out what a career as a curator involves. Learn the type of decisions a curator makes and how artwork is chosen and displayed for exhibitions.
Registration is limited to 15 youth in grades 9-12.

Weeping Wilow Club NewsThe Weeping Willow 4-H Club decided to do something different for this Holiday Season which included a little surprise extra for home-bound meals-on-wheels recipients in the Brandon, Fairwater, Rosendale, and Eldorado areas who receive support through the Fond du Lac Aging and Disability Resource Center. Poinsettias were delivered with their meals the first week. The second week, a large bag containing basic hygiene care necessities and other wrapped gifts were delivered. Helping put all this together included, from left, Ben W, Luke W, Amelia S, Alisabeth P, Karson C, Jackson C, Brandon S, Mason C, and Lydia S.

Wisconsin 4-H Foundation Kicks off Art Contest
The Wisconsin 4-H Foundation has kicked off a contest that challenges all 4-H members to explore their creativity.
The Wisconsin 4-H Foundation Celebrates the Arts 4-H Art Contest is open to any current Wisconsin 4-H member, with cash prizes totaling nearly $1,000. The contest will be held virtually, with photos of all entries submitted electronically. Entries are being accepted now through December 31, 2021.
The contest is broken into eight categories:- Drawing Using Any Medium
- Painting (acrylic, watercolor or oil)
- Pottery, Ceramics, or Clay
- Photography
- Paper
- Fabric, Yarn or Fiber
- Wood
- Any Other Media (ex: digital, metalcraft, jewelry, leatherwork, wax, eggshells, taxidermy, etc.)
A winner will be chosen in each category with a Best of Show award given to one entry chosen by the judging committee. Category winners will receive a $100 cash award. The Best of Show entry will receive an additional $150 cash award. Other art may be recognized but will not receive a cash award. Winners will be notified by email by February 1. A complete winner’s list, as well as photos of the winning entries, will be on the Wisconsin 4-H Foundation Website by February 15, 2022.
To be eligible for the Wisconsin 4-H Foundation Art Contest, youth must be a 4-H member enrolled in 4HOnline for the 2021-2022 4-H Program Year. Entrants do not need to be enrolled in any specific project to participate. For more information, please click here.

4-H Night with the Wisconsin HerdWe are excited to announce 4-H Night with the Wisconsin Herd on Sunday, March 13 at 2:30 pm. This fun, family, friendly event is open to all 4-H members, families, volunteers, and your friends!
Any 4-H member who attends the game will be able to participate in the Jockey Spirit Tunnel and receive a free WI Herd T-shirt! We will also be there sharing more about 4-H with all attendees of the game as the nonprofit of the night.
You can now order tickets, and the WI Herd is recommending we buy tickets ASAP as this game may sell out. The WI Herd is the G-League Team of the Milwaukee Bucks, who are currently the NBA World Champions! Tickets cost $10 or $18 (plus tax) and can be purchased here: https://fevo.me/wisconsin4-h.

Market Livestock Updates
2022 Market Beef Identification-February 12
For the 2022 Fond du Lac County Fair and Market Livestock Sale, there will not be an Initial Market Beef Weigh-in. Instead, individuals wishing to qualify and tag animals for the 2022 Fond du Lac County Market Livestock Sale will have the opportunity to self-identify project animals in February.
Please save the date: February 12, 2022, 9 am to 12 noon. At this time, individuals will be able to pick up ear tags and paperwork to identify their market beef project animal. Paperwork and photos will be due March 1. Breeding stock does not need to be self-identified. Details will be forthcoming in January.

Annual Leader Training Registration OpenThe 2021-2022 Wisconsin 4-H Annual Leader Training will strengthen your skills in creating strong and positive Youth-Adult Partnerships. This two-part series will be offered virtually. Fond du Lac County is offering this session in virtual settings. Youth and adult participants can register using the link below. Once you register, you will receive the link for the zoom session(s), and be provided information on handouts, reference materials, and supporting documents. You only need to attend training for the Annual Training requirement.
Thanks to the clubs who signed up and completed the training on November 30! Busy Bees, Brandon Tanagers, Campbellsport, and South Byron your annual leader training have been marked as complete. If your club didn't have a representative attend on November 30, please send someone to the January 31 training!
