On Wednesday, August 14, at 1:42 am, the NYU Department of Campus Safety received a report of a burglary at Third Avenue North Residence Hall, in Manhattan. The incident occurred sometime between the evening of Sunday, August 10, and the afternoon of Wednesday, August 13.
The two victims, both NYU students, reported various kitchen items and food missing from their dorm room in Third Avenue North. The items were last seen during the afternoon of August 10, and discovered missing on August 13. The victims stated the door to their dorm was secure during this time. There were no signs of forced entry.
Both students were offered support services and declined to report the incident to the NYPD.
