The Our Neighborhoods Capital Fund (ONCF), a National CAPACD affiliate, proudly announces our first loan to Little Tokyo Service Center (LTSC), strategically designed to preserve community heritage and prevent displacement in Little Tokyo’s historic cultural district.

In 2023, National CAPACD’s strategic priorities included establishing a national CDFI intermediary to expand access to capital in AA and NHPI communities and among our member organizations. As part of that priority, we committed to developing aligned technical assistance and capacity-building programs that advance place-based strategies and prevent displacement of residents, small businesses, and community and cultural institutions.

The ONCF’s loan is a targeted investment that supports community ownership, economic resilience, and cultural preservation by providing flexible, affordable financing that centers local stakeholders. The loan details are as follows:

Last week, Little Tokyo Service Center also demonstrated their leadership by teaching and empowering other National CAPACD members about how to partner with local developers to enter into real estate development.
