Orchestra Milestone Concert Tonight! (4/30)
Only 8 years ago we began the journey of offering strings ensembles at Lipscomb Academy, and tonight marks the first complete cycle for this program, where beginners start in the 5th Grade. We could not be more proud of the growth in numbers and musicianship of these talented instrumentalists. The orchestras are directed by Mary Grant who is assisted by Sophia Winter. Come tonight at 6:30 PM in the Collins Alumni Auditorium at Lipscomb University to see over 75 performers. The concert is free and open to the public.
Double Header This Sunday (5/5)
Starting at 2:00 in the LU Collins Alumni Auditorium hear our 6th-12th Grade Bands under the direction or Mr. Noel Hicks. Mr. Hicks is in his 15th year at LA, and always does a tremendous job as we see the progression from almost 60 beginners to high school musicians.
Then at 3:30 in Acuff Chapel hear 60 singers from the 7th-12th Grade Choruses directed by Elizabeth Patterson and Robert King. The MS Chorus and LAcappella will perform separate from the HS Concert Chorus, and then they will combine for the concert finale.
