Saving the Lives of Veterans and First Responders with PTSD

June 2019

We welcomed eight new puppies into the program!

The little ones don't have names yet, so be sure to follow us on social media for an update. We are so excited for the lives they are going to change.

Dog Handler Journal

New Life K9s service dogs transform the lives of inmate educators. Soloman, (pictured right), recently wrote his last dog handler journal at the California Men's Colony.

"With each dog I have learned to have more and more patience. And through this experience I became more confident in myself, more patient, more empathetic, more mindful, more caring, and loving. I believe these are all the attributes that will help me be more successful as I return to society."

Art After Dark

July 5th • 6pm - 9pm • 870 Monterey St.

Come check out original artwork at our upcoming exhibit, hosted by JunkGirls in downtown. The artwork was created by inmates and all proceeds go to New Life K9s.

Explore new art, music, and other community fun, while supporting a great cause.

Our June Thank You

As we welcome new puppies into the program, we are extra grateful for our volunteer Puppy Parents. Thank you for your dedication and taking on this rewarding challenge. We could not do this without you!

Puppy Parents provide a family experience for an assigned dog on the weekend while the dogs are learning to become a service dog. They have the important job to love and positively expose the puppy to the world.
