From club leadership and project mentorship to event support and behind‑the‑scenes dedication, our volunteers are the heart of everything we do. Because of you, young people gain confidence, skills, and a sense of belonging—today and for the future. We are deeply grateful for the time, talents, and passion you share with our 4‑H community.
Thank you, 4‑H volunteers—we couldn’t do this without you.

Rosendale 4-H Club: April 12, 2026 |
Submitted by Reporter, Eli Curtis
The Rosendale 4-H Club met on Sunday, April 12, 2026 at Generation Lanes.
We started the meeting with the pledges. Next, we had roll call. Then, we had the secretary’s reports from February and March, and the treasurer’s report.
For new business there were lots of reminders from the 4-H newsletter. We talked about the 4-H Silent Auction at the fair. The club approved $50 for a basket and the Curtis family volunteered to put it together with a John Deere tractor theme. Mac talked about the Acrylic Painting & Drawing Workshop being held on Saturday, April 25 at Fond du Lac County Campus. There was discussion for market livestock members about the Fair Board’s adoption of the DATCP's recommendations set on March 5 that repeals PRRS/PEDv testing requirements, yet requires standard intra-state swine health certificate. Mac announced there is a Horse & Pony project meeting on Saturday, April 25 at noon at Double Bar A in Oakfield. There are poultry project opportunities at the county level detailed in this week's newsletter. Dairy judging practice will begin soon. The fitting and showing workshop required to exhibit in showmanship at the Fond du Lac County Fair is planned for Saturday, May 2nd at 8:30am at Vir-Clar Farms. Badger Dairy Camp on the UW-Madison campus is planned from Thursday, July 9th, through Sunday, July 12th. There is a 4-H summer academy from June 14-18, 2026 at the UW-Madison Campus. Registration is $150. Conservation Camp registration opens soon for middle and high school-age members. Mac reminded members to start thinking about 4-H Trips. Applications are not due in September for trips like the Wisconsin 4-H & Youth Conference, Madison in June (grade 7-10), American Spirit, East Coast in June (grade 8-10), Citizenship Washington Focus, Washington DC in June or July (grades 10-12), National 4-H Congress, Atlanta in November (grades 10-12), National 4-H Conference, Washington DC in April (grade 10-12), New Horizons (grades 8-12). The next Teen Leaders Association meeting is April 27 at 6:45pm at Rolling Meadows Meeting Room.
After the meeting, we bowled and ate pizza! Many of our members brought their families and we had a great time!
Our next meeting will be Sunday, May 3 at 1 p.m. at Peace Lutheran Church. We will be painting clay pots and planting flowers for mother’s day.

Urgent Help Needed: 4‑H Adult Leader Food Stand Committee |
The 4‑H Adult Leader Food Stand is one of our largest sources of funding for countywide programs, events, and 4‑H scholarships — and right now, we need help to keep it running.
Several long‑time leaders have stepped back, and we are looking for 4–5 adults (or more!) to join the Food Stand Committee. No one is expected to do everything. Tasks are divided, checklists and past notes exist, and support is built in.
Ways you can help (choose just one!):
| -
Assist with ordering food or supplies
- Help with money handling (with a partner)
- Submit health department paperwork
- Serve as a fair‑week shift supervisor (help workers, answer questions, jump in as needed)
|
Even helping with one piece makes a huge difference — and extra hands mean shorter, more manageable commitments for everyone. More details can also be found at https://fonddulac.extension.wisc.edu/4h-fundraiser-help/
Without enough volunteers, this fundraiser — and the programs it supports — is at risk.
Please step up or reach out to learn more:
Jennifer Ladwig - jaladwig73@hotmail.com or 920-266-8041
One role. One step. A big impact for our 4‑H youth.
