Grad Student Appreciation Week 2025 Continues!
|
This week has been a fantastic celebration of Georgia Tech’s incredible graduate student community! We kicked things off with Monday Funday, a lively picnic that wrapped up just in time before the rain rolled in. On Tuesday, we cheered on the Yellow Jackets during Grad Night at the Tech vs. Mercer baseball game, bringing school spirit and community together. And this morning, we honored some of our brightest scholars at the Prestigious Fellowships Appreciation Breakfast, where recipients of NSF, Fulbright, and the President’s Fellowship had the chance to hear special remarks from President Ángel Cabrera and engage in an open forum with graduate education leaders, including Jana Stone, James Black, Bonnie Ferri, and Joy Olabisi.
The excitement continues today with the Connections Carnival, where students can network, play games, and win prizes! Tomorrow, take a moment to unwind at GOAT Yoga, a fan-favorite wellness event. And we’re closing out the week in a big way on Friday with the 10th Annual 3MT Competition, where graduate students will showcase their research in just three minutes for a chance to win cash prizes!
Don’t miss out—keep joining in on the fun and share your experiences on Instagram by tagging @gtgradpostdocs.

Chien’s impact goes beyond the gardens she helps maintain.
