Hanging Rock Christian Camp

From the Camp Director,

Philippians 1:3-5 I thank my God every time I remember you. 4 In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy 5 because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now.

We have so many great people who come along side of us as we serve here at Hanging Rock. From churches coming and serving a week on a mission trip, to coming and helping with fundraisers or mowing grass and coming to clean. We have ministers that serve with the camp committee, our board members, event coordinators and faculty. I'm truly in awe at how our churches rally around this camp and this ministry.

Thank you so much for the immeasurable valuable work you have done for Hanging Rock! We have not thanked you enough, and want to let you know that your dedication is essential to the work that we do. We cannot do it without you. We would not want to do it without you. You bring ideas, positive energy and a beautiful intensity. I pray our churches never get tired of serving and pouring into this ministry.

Two Events -One Day for the Ministers of our Supporting Churches!

First Event: We want to invite our supporting church ministers to a time of encouragement and a free brunch. With a complementary gift for serving our churches. This will be from 10am-Noon.

Second Event: For Children's and Youth Ministers. We have invited Brian Leslie, youth ministry professor, at Johnson University to share in a time of learning and sharing about youth and children's ministry in today's culture. This will begin at 1pm and last until lunch on Wednesday. We have rooms in the Inn and dorm rooms to stay in. This is a FREE EVENT. But, you do need to REGISTER.

Flooring Project:

We are so excited to have started on our flooring projects here at camp. We have added vinyl plank to the front foyer of the gym and the foyer from the dining room to the gym. We have also added carpet squares to one classroom. We still have one classroom left to do for vinyl plank and one classroom to do in carpet squares, plus the gym in carpet squares and the dining room. We are $6,000 short to do the gym and between $8,000 - $10,000 for the dining room floor. We are still trying to figure out the dining room floor. We have a lot of uneven concrete. The dining room is a 1946 building, so we have that to work with. We really need your help to finish these before the end of the year. So far we have raised just over $30,000 for this project. Thank You. We do have our biggest fundraiser coming up in December to help with this.
