URock Student & Family Day

Monday, June 27th (5-7pm)


You and your family are invited to URock Student & Family Day! We will have coloring tables, a popcorn machine, and a movie playing in the background for kids. Students and their guests will be treated to free pizza and can ask URock staff any questions about their courses, financing college, and local opportunities.
Haven't registered for courses yet? No problem! Drop in from 5-7pm on June 27th and we will get you registered.

Register for Fall Classes by July 15


Need a few great reasons to register for fall classes today? 1 The classes you want could fill up; 2 the classes you want could be cancelled due to low enrollment; and 3 YOU could win a NEW iPad or iWatch!
Students registered for (at least) 1 fall semester in-person class at URock will be eligible to win the iPad.  UMA Rockland students registered for (at least) 1 online/web-conferencing class will be eligible to win the iWatch.  All you have to do is register for classes by July 15th for a chance to win.

The URock Student Association is raffling off a pair of tickets for a Father's Day sail on the beautiful Schooner Olad out of Camden Harbor.  Raffle is open to currently-enrolled UMA students (summer or fall).  The winner's name will be randomly drawn on June 15th.  Good Luck!

HTY 104 & PSY 100

This fall URock is offering a two course 'double feature' of US History (HTY 104) followed by Introduction to Psychology (PSY 100). Students can register for both.
HTY 104 - Wednesdays 4 to 5:15pm (69910) The course covers the US from 1877 to recent years. Topics include the making of modern America, industrialism, imperialism and other topics. Instructor Will Galloway is a veteran instructor here at UMA with an extensive background in teaching US History and World Civilizations.
PSY 100 - Wednesdays 5:30 to 6:45pm (69911) This course explains learning theories, brain and nervous system, personality perception, intelligence, motivation, emotions, thinking, human development and abnormal behavior. Instructor Teresa Mayo is a Psychologist for the State of Maine and long-time URock psychology instructor teaching a variety of courses including forensic psychology and the psychology of personality.

In observance of Juneteenth (Sunday, June 19th) and to honor and celebrate Freedom Day, we will be closed - and no classes will be held - on Monday, June 20th.
