Moon Over Buffalo reviews are in . . . .
"You've all heard that great line, "Dying's easy; it's comedy that's hard." Well it is. And farce is the toughest. Pace, timing of sight gags and reactions have to be just so.
This production gets it right." Eugene Register Guard

"There’s an old showbiz adage that when in doubt, comedy should always be “louder, faster and funnier,” and director Janet Rust delivers."  Eugene Weekly

About this play: This hilarious play centers around Charlotte and George Hay, who are on tour at the Erlanger Theatre in Buffalo in 1953, with a repertory consisting of Cyrano de Bergerac (“revised, one nostril version”) and Noel Coward’s Private Lives. On the brink of a disastrous split-up caused by George’s dalliance with a young ingénue, they receive word that they might have one final shot at stardom: Frank Capra is coming to town to see their matinee, and if he likes what he sees, he might cast them in his movie remake of The Scarlet Pimpernel. Unfortunately for George and Charlotte, everything that could go wrong does go wrong, abetted by a visit from their daughter’s clueless fiancé and hilarious uncertainty about which play they’re actually performing.
"Moon Over Buffalo delivers non-stop humor, much like CT's Spamalot. I highly recommend seeing it, especially if one is looking for a couple of hours of light-hearted escape from all the world's current crises. Cottage Grove Sentinel

Rev. Olson and the Oil Can-Can Girls arrive in Oil City full of bold claims. They erect an oil derrick on the top of Mt. David and start selling shares in their new venture. Meanwhile, the local Sherriff is mighty suspicious and asks the Mustache Gang to keep an eye on Rev. Olson. This family-friendly melodrama features youth actors from Cottage Theatre’s summer Melodrama Camp, plenty of booing and hissing at the villains, and an old-fashioned audience sing-along.
