About Poetry Out Loud
Poetry Out Loud is a national high school competition that encourages the nation's youth to learn about great poetry through memorization and recitation. Supported by the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with the Poetry Foundation and state arts agencies nationwide, Poetry Out Loud helps students master public speaking skills, build self-confidence, and learn about their literary heritage.
