FIT4MOM Chapel Hill's October Wall Sit Challenge!
October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. About 1 in 8 women will develop invasive breast cancer during her lifetime. Nearly 85% occur in women with no family history of breast cancer.
To share our strength with those impacted, FIT4MOM Chapel Hill is donating $1 to Susan G. Komen's Race For The Cure for every mom who shares a video of herself doing a 1-minute wall sit on our Facebook page. 
The mom whose video gets the most Facebook "likes" wins a FIT4MOM top of her choice! Pass on your strength by challenging a fellow mama from class, and let us know why she inspires you! Don't wait for someone to challenge you; record your clip and post away!

Body Back® is a results-based workout designed for moms who want their body back, whether they just had a baby or their last child was born twenty years ago! Most importantly, it will help women unlock their personal possibilities in an inspiring and powerful environment. Learn more about our Body Body course.

Mom's Night Out at Fleet Feet Sports Carrboro!
What: Local partner Fleet Feet Sports Carrboro opens their doors after hours to FIT4MOM Chapel Hill for a private shopping experience! 
Relax with other moms, browse/shop kid-free, sip wine, enjoy snacks, & stock up on new apparel with 15% off everything in the store! Fleet Feet's knowledgeable staff will be onsite to help with shoe & sports bra fittings. (They have excellent sports bra options for nursing mothers!)
When: Wednesday, September 30th, 7:30-9:30 pm

Mom's Night Out: Making Fall Wreaths!
What: A fun, crafty Mom's Night Out! We'll make personalized fall wreaths and enjoy some great company! Please bring a snack to share and BYOB!
When: Sunday, October 25th, 7:00-9:00 pm
Where: Briar Chapel Clubhouse, 1600 Briar Chapel Parkway, Chapel Hill 27516
Cost: $25 covers your cost of supplies. Your supplies are purchased for you in advance.

Meet Lindsey Wallace!
Lindsey is one of our Founding Moms who joined FIT4MOM Chapel Hill on our Grand Opening Day in March. She regularly attends Stroller Strides classes at Southern Village. 
Lindsey is finishing her PhD in Anthropology at UNC Chapel Hill. Her research is about Motherhood and Migration among Expats living in Geneva, Switzerland. She also works as the Student Family Advocate for the Graduate and Professional Student Federation and teaches courses in both Anthropology and Women's Studies. In her position as the Student Family Advocate, Lindsey contributes meaningful work on issues of gender in the workplace and develops tools and policies to help graduate students manage parenting and academic success.
Hometown: I moved a lot as a kid but mostly grew up in Seattle, Washington.
Kids: Victor, 3 and Elodie, 8 months
Hobbies: Travel, cooking, reading, and wine. 
Why I Love FIT4MOM Chapel Hill: I love getting exercise in the fresh air with my younger daughter and meeting other mothers. It is one of the few things I get to do alone with Elodie and I think we both enjoy it!
