Vevox: New Platform for Student Polling |
|
|

Vevox is a student response and polling platform open to the UWM community. Integrated with Canvas, Zoom, Powerpoint, and Teams; Vevox supports real-time polls, quizzes, and Q&A that encourages student participation, and can be used to gauge comprehension, take attendance, and gather feedback in face-to-face, hybrid, or online classes. The Digital Accessibility workshop series is designed to help prepare instructors and staff for the April 2026 accessibility deadline to ensure Canvas courses, videos, files, and digital teaching materials meet accessibility standards. Register for one or more of the trainings.

Accessibility Resource Center (ARC) and CETL released a Canvas module for faculty and instructional staff to learn how disabilities are verified, accommodations are determined, and what responsibilities there are for supporting students with disabilities. Access the Accommodations training module.

Teaching Assistant (TA) Orientation and Training |

The TA Orientation is held each fall for all new TAs informing them of their responsibilities, and sharing essential resources, and providing instruction on tech tools like Canvas. It is one element of a multi-part TA Orientation and Training program offered through the Fall semester.
