In the 1960s, the College World Series wasn’t making money. No city wanted to host it. Omaha was trying its best. But then, one Creighton alum — Jack Diesing Sr. — started dreaming big. His tireless work helped transform the series. His son elevated the event even further. The D-Day pilot who inspired Creighton |
Not long before Loy Julius was piloting combat aircraft on D-Day, he was hitchhiking across Iowa for work and school. His family had lost its farm. But it was his humble upbringing that fueled his determination. After Julius retired from the military, he became an award-winning professor and influential mentor in Creighton’s School of Dentistry. Learn more about how the late Dr. Julius is still being honored today.

Seventeen outstanding students, Creighton’s Grit Scholars, joined the nearly 2,000 graduates who earned their degrees at the University’s commencement ceremonies this month. Jays begins the Road to Omaha |
After clinching its first BIG EAST Tournament championship in six years, Creighton’s baseball team will open NCAA Tournament action on Friday against Kansas. It could be a historic weekend for the Jays, who’re soaring into the postseason with a 21-2 record since April 17.
