UW Madison Meat Science & Animal Biologics Discovery Building Tour

In case you missed the tour on December 3 of the UW Madison Meat Science & Animal Biologics Discovery Building Tour, you can now view it below. After reviewing the tour, please fill out the evaluation found at this link. The information you provide in this evaluation is key to what we can offer in the future. Thanks! STEM Gingerbread House Challenge

Youth from Fond du Lac, Ozaukee, and Washington County are invited to participate in a STEM: Gingerbread House Challenge!
The Challenge: Design and build a gingerbread house using only non-edible materials(use items that cannot be eaten, i.e.. Legos, cardboard, paper, etc.). Draw a plan on paper and then build your gingerbread house based on that plan.
How to Enter: Scan/photograph your child's artwork and use this official entry form to submit your entry. Youth grades 5K-13th grade can enter the contest. Remember no food items! The deadline for entries is December 31. Youth are welcome to participate as a family or individually.

Prizes will be awarded based on the following categories:
- Overall appearance/composition of the design
- “Holiday Spirit” incorporated in the design
- Originality/imagination/use of materials
- Difficulty of design/design execution

Teen Leaders Association

The club's next meeting is Monday, January 25, 2021. At the January meeting, the youth will be making valentine cards for a local nursing home. Please remember to bring your own supplies. If you are going to join virtually for the meeting, please mail in or drop off your cards at the Extension Office!  The January recreational activity will be Tubing at Sunburst Winter Sports Park in Kewaskum. Look for more details to come.
TLA is always looking for new members to join! To be a member, youth must have completed 6th grade. If you are interested in joining or would like the link for the meeting, please contact Tina Engelhardt at tina.engelhardt@wisc.edu

Tri-County Visual Arts Festival

This year's theme is "Nature in Art." This festival is open to all youth in grades 3-13 from Fond du Lac, Ozaukee, and Washington County. Scan/photograph your child's artwork and use this official entry form to submit your entry. Please complete a separate form for each piece of artwork that you submit. All entries must be submitted by Monday, February 15 by 11:59 p.m. Winners from each category will receive small prizes.

4-H Adult Volunteer in Preparation (VIP) Training

New Adult Volunteers are welcome and essential to the 4-H program! 4-H is proud of being a proactive, youth-serving organization with an excellent reputation for providing a healthy and safe environment for its members. The volunteer orientation process assures the quality of the program. 

For new adult volunteers in need of a Volunteer In Prep Training (VIP), there are several upcoming virtual training options to fit your schedule!

This training will be held virtually via Zoom. A minimum of 5 participants will be required for the training to be held. Registration is required three days prior to the date of the session. If the minimum is not reached, you will be notified two days prior to the training.
