Volunteers Needed for Habitat for Humanity Interfaith Build
NO CONSTRUCTION EXPERIENCE NEEDED! The Fellowship is looking for volunteers to help out on Interfaith Builds with Habitat for Humanity. Both builds are on Story Street in Appleton, starting August 14 and ending November 10. This is a great opportunity to work with other people of other religions, while coming together to build a home for a family in need. Tasks range from building walls, installing cabinets, painting, air seal & insulate, site support, to providing meals. Crew mentors will teach you the basics and make sure you have a great experience and go home with new skills, as well as new friendships. Construction on the two interfaith homes are starting very soon, so please sign up ASAP. Most shifts are from 7:45 am – 4:00 pm. The Habitat page will have a description of each job duty for our assigned build days so you can see what you will be doing. This link Fox Cities Habitat will take you to our sign-up dates with Habitat. If you don’t already have a profile created, please do so and sign up. Any questions, please contact Angie Demers at 920.967.8895 or angied@foxcitieshabitat.org. Members of the Essentials JAM will be available before and after service in the Fellowship Hall this Sunday to answer questions about the Interfaith Builds.

UU Night Out
Tuesday, August 7 at 6:00 pm
Join us for round two of dinner on the patio at The Source Public House. We had such an enjoyable evening outside in the fresh air in July, it felt like the right place to spend one more summer night before everyone starts thinking about fall things (like school!). There will be a new menu with farm fresh ingredients--so the menu options will be different for those who joined us there in July. Come enjoy a purely social evening with fellow members and friends of the Fox Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship. Everyone is welcome! If you are not part of UU Night Out Facebook group, email Cindy Darling to get on the reservation: kitsudarling@gmail.com.
