Dear Commodore,
Congratulations on your admission to Vanderbilt! We are delighted that you’ve chosen us. I want to personally welcome you to our incredible community of world-class faculty, dedicated staff, and diverse and exceptionally talented students.
In the months to come, you’ll be hearing a lot about The Vanderbilt Way—the values and culture that set Vanderbilt apart. A key tenet of the Vanderbilt Way is belonging. And I want to assure you that, now that you’ve earned a place here and you are a deeply valued member of this community: you belong. We are already hard at work to offer you opportunities to strengthen that sense of belonging—that sense of having found your community—from the moment you set foot on campus.
For now, I wish you all the best. We can’t wait to see you this fall.
Sincerely,
C. Cybele Raver
Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs
Vanderbilt University
