Sessions: 8:30 - 11:30 AM • 1:00 - 4:00 PM

Location: Josh's Studio in Shelburne, MA

Each 3-hour session will give you time to watch beautiful glass being made, chat with Josh, and purchase Simpson glass at special prices.

Register yourself and any guests you plan to bring, for a specific session. Tickets are still available for some sessions. Josh would love to see you!

Cane rods about to be cut into segments and launched in their own "test" Planets.

Artist Proof Planets are special spheres made to test the color, compatibility and aesthetics of every new cane design that Josh creates. If the cane used inside these Planets expands or contracts at a different rate than the clear glass around it, the piece may crack as it cools in the annealing oven.

We have a small collection of 3" paperweights that passed their test! Each of these "Artist Proof" Planets comes with its own collection of cane segments, packaged in a little pillowbox "spaceship garage."

Coldworking refers to the fabrication of glass at room temperature, and typically involves grinding, polishing, cutting, and laminating. This exhibit highlights the magnificent creations of glass artists who specialize in this craft.
