The Sandwich Glass Museum is honored to host Josh Simpson to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Museum's founding and the 20th anniversary of Josh's 2005 traveling exhibition, "Visions of Our Galaxy." This show, curated by Melissa Brooks, celebrates Simpson’s fifty auspicious years of creativity in glass. The history of glass art is brought into the present with this collection, which evokes the timelessness and infinite possibilities of our universe.

Reception and Presentation by Josh and Cady, May 31

5:30 - 7:30 PM

Josh and his wife, retired NASA astronaut Cady Coleman, discuss the intersection of science, art, and exploration in their lives. Josh shares how his glass sculptures are fueled by his deep fascination with astrophysics and the mysteries of the universe, while Cady shares her experiences as an astronaut-scientist aboard the International Space Station. Together, their distinct pursuits—creation of art and exploration of space–enrich both of their journeys. In addition to their presentation, Josh and Cady will be signing their respective books (which can be purchased at the museum).
